The Apogee HypeMiC USB Microphone is a flexible USB cardioid Condenser Microphone that delivers studio-quality, assertive recording thanks to its built-in compressor. Shape (Low Level Compression)
The lowest compression level is recommended to perfectly bring out the sonic character of vocals and instruments in your recordings.

Squeeze (Medium Level Compression)
The right choice for podcasts, interviews and streaming applications where you want to give your voice more assertiveness.

Smash (High Level Compression)
This makes the HypeMiC ideal for recording voices that you want to reproduce with maximum output, typical of a powerful broadcast sound.

Try all the settings and then choose the one that suits your taste. Optimize the levels before using the compressor stage and make sure that the compression is not amplifying any disturbing ambient noise in the recording. Thanks to the Blend function, latencies during recording and playback are no problem at all.

Like its relatives Jam+ and MiC+, the HypeMiC offers a stereophonic 3.5mm headphone output with Blend function for latency-free monitoring. Using the Blend button, you can variably adjust the ratio between the direct signal (picked up via the microphone) and the playback signal from the software to achieve the optimal mix for you.
